Charlene Lipsey has made a big change.
The veteran 800m specialist, who was formerly with Adidas, announced last week that she will now run for Under Armour.
“So excited to announce that I am now a part of the Under Armour family,” Lipsey announced on Instagram. “So thankful for this opportunity to be representing such an athlete driven brand. The love and support I have been receiving from UA is truly unmatched. New brand, new location, same mission, same grind!”
Lipsey will join the UA Mission Run Baltimore 800m group that includes Claudia Saunders, Jazmine Fray and Danae Rivers.
Lipsey won the USATF indoor title in the 1000 meters in 2017 with a time of 2:37.97, setting a championship record in the event. She was also a member of the Team USA 4×800 relay team that set the world record in the event at the Millrose Games in 2018.
She has a personal best time of 1:57.38 in the 800m, which she set in 2017.
