Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s journey to success on the track has been nothing short of sensational, as she’s the best 400m hurdler to ever grace the track, and one of the best athletes of all time, regardless of sport.
Now, she’s looking to share with others the hope that she’s found off the track.
McLaughlin-Levrone recently announced the creation of her new and soon to be released book, Far Beyond Gold.
“I figured it was time to start writing all of this down, so I’ve poured my heart out into a book about my faith journey and my experience fighting anxiety and perfectionism,” she said in her official announcement on Instagram. “You’ll see how much my self-worth and identity have shifted in the process of finding that I can do nothing apart from God. His overwhelming grace, love, and truth shattered my pursuit of perfection and people-pleasing.
This is an intimate look into a side of my life that you haven’t seen before. Yes, I face hurdles off the track too!”
McLaughlin-Levrone has been very vocal and open about her faith, and she says that she hopes that the book helps others conquer their fears, stand firm on their faith and make Christ the center of their individual lives.
