The 2024 track and field season is just around the corner, and the excitement and anticipation is already building as we inch closer to the start of the indoor track and field season.
World Athletics will have a series of meets that are a part of their World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meets, and the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix is one of the meets. It was just announced by the governing body on Wednesday that some of the best athletes in the sport of track and field will be taking their talents to Boston to compete in one of the biggest indoor meets of the season in February. So far, two of America’s best have announced that they will line up and compete at the NBIGP.
Noah Lyles headlines what promises to be an impressive field of athletes competing at the NBIGP. Lyles is looking to continue to build upon his successful 2023 campaign which included him winning three gold medals at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
Gabby Thomas will also be one of the talented athletes who will look to have a strong showing at the NBIGP in February. Last season, she not only ran a new personal best in the women’s 200m, but she took home a bronze medal in the event at the World Championships in Budapest, as well as a gold medal in the women’s 4x100m relay.
The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will take place on Feb. 4, 2024.
