Track and field is just around the corner, and the indoor season is only a matter of weeks away from starting up around the world. One of the biggest meets of the season will take place in New York at the historic and prestigious Millrose Games.
This will be the 116th edition of the meet, and the action promises to be exciting, as some of the best talent in the world will make their way to the Armory to compete against the best athletes in the world in February.
Here are some of the athletes that according to a recent announcement, will be competing at the Millrose Games.
Yared Nuguse will be competing in the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games this season. He took home the win in the event last season, and he’s looking to defend his title at the meet. He owns the American record and the second fastest time in the indoor mile, and he owns the American record in the outdoor mile.
Josh Kerr will take part in the men’s two-mile race. Kerr, who competes for Great Britain, is coming off of a remarkable 2023 campaign that saw him win the men’s 1500m at the World Championships in Budapest.
Danielle Williams will compete in the women’s 60m hurdles at the meet. Williams, who competes for Jamaica, took home the gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdles last season at the World Championships in Budapest, which was the second gold medal of her career.
The Millrose Games will take place at the Armory on February 11.
