Elle St. Pierre is setting herself up for a full week of competition at the upcoming Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.

Scott Cacciola of the New York Times posted to Twitter that, per her coach Mark Coogan, St. Pierre is planning to contest both the 1500m and 500m at Hayward Field in the coming weeks. Her further notes, “She has the fastest times in the country in both events this year.”

St. Pierre has certainly done her fair share of racing this year, starting with the indoor season. Following a second place 3000m showing at the New Balance Indoor GP, she won the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games in an impressive 4:16.41, and hasn’t yet turned the jets off.

Following USA and World titles indoors for the 3000 meters, she opened her outdoor season at the Los Angeles Grand Prix in May, running 14:34.12 for the 5000m, her lone result for the distance this year. Just over a week later, Elle ran 3:56.00 in the 1500 meters at the Pre Classic.

The schedule for the 1500 / 5000 at the upcoming Olympic Trials shows that the 5000m heats will take place on the evening of June 21 with the final on June 24. Just under 72 hours later, the opening round and semifinal of the 1500m will take place on the evenings of June 27 and 28 before the final on June 30.
