Olympians Aliphine Tuliamuk and Emily Infeld have signed with Brooks after their previous contracts with HOKA NAZ Elite and Nike, respectively, concluded at the end of 2024. Both athletes faced injuries in the last year with Infeld dealing with hip and Achilles issues and Tuliamuk undergoing hamstring surgery. Cameron Myers sets U20 indoor mile world record
Australian teenager Cameron Myers set a new world U20 indoor mile record by clocking 3:53.12 at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on Saturday. This performance shaved nearly two seconds off the previous record of 3:55.02, set by American German Fernandez in 2009. Notably, this was Myers’ first indoor race, and his victory secures him a spot in the prestigious Wanamaker Mile at the upcoming Millrose Games.
Kishane Thompson ran his indoor debut in Astana
Thompson made his much awaited indoor debut over the weekend at the Astana meeting in Kazakhstan, which kicked off the World Indoor Tour Gold schedule. He ran 6.56 seconds for the 60m which was good enough for the victory. Though this was his first indoor 60m race, this was not a completely new distance for the Olympic 100m silver medalist. He competed at an outdoor meeting in Jamaica last week, where he completed the short straightaway in 6.48 seconds into a headwind.
