Trials of Miles

The Trials of Miles will take in New York’s Icahn Stadium on Friday night, beginning with a Community Mile at 6pm ET. The night’s more anticipated storylines look to begin just after 7:45pm, kicking off with an 800 meter race in which high school phenom Cade Flatt will attempt to break the 25 year old outdoor prep record. Also in the race is the high school indoor record holder at the distance, Josh Hoey (set in 2018 in Boston).

The Men’s race will be shortly followed by a Women’s 800 meters that will include World Indoor Champion Ajee’ Wilson, Atlanta Track Club’s Olivia Baker, and current World Leader Allie Wilson. High school standouts Juliette Whittaker and Sophia Gorriaran will also be running, and much like Flatt’s attempt at the record, we will be keeping an eye on whether Mary Cain’s national high school record from 2013 (1:59.51) still stands the next morning.

More events of note: Allie Ostrander will be returning to the track in the Women’s Steeplechase, Nikki Hiltz and Danae Rivers in the 1500, and Marielle Hall is competing in the 5000.

At the Fan Hub, we are also proud to sponsor the Girls High School Mile – truly an honor to support this wonderful event!

Birmingham (London) Diamond League

The Diamond League continues its tour in London following last week’s meeting in Doha. Of note, Katie Nageotte is opening her outdoor season in the pole vault, going head to head with last week’s meeting champion Sandi Morris in a competition that will also include Katerina Stefanidi. The Men’s 800 meters also promises to be a great matchup, featuring Clayton Murphy, Bryce Hoppel, and Tokyo Silver Medalist Ferguson Rotich. We would be remise if we were also not to point out that we are pretty pumped to see how far Valarie Allman throws in the Discus – what she continues to do in the ring is nothing short of astounding.

The meet will air live on CNBC Saturday morning from 9-11am ET, in addition to being live streamed on NBC’s Peacock app.

American Track League Duval County Challenge

The American Track League continues its tour, coming to you from Florida at the Duval County Challenge. Perhaps the most exciting happening at the Challenge is the return of Tori Bowie to the track, who appears to be on the start list for both the 100 meter and 200 meter races.
