Challenging Stereotypes

It’s a huge stereotype that guys need to eat way more than girls, and I felt the need to challenge that notion. The gap between male and female dietary needs is based off of differences in height, weight, and muscle mass. However, when women are physically active (e.g. competitive running…), they have a high proportion of muscle and huge caloric demands. So yeah, a guy who is taller and bigger will need more food if activity levels are equal, but it’s probably not as big of a gap as it’s made out to be.

I decided to try to follow my boyfriend’s diet for the day and see how it made me feel to eat the same amount as him. Check the video below to see how it turned out…
