The Seattle-based quartet of Brannon Kidder, Brandon Miller, Isaiah Harris and Henry Wynne ran 9:14.58 in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) last night at the Oregon Relays, setting a new world record.
Kidder completed his leg of 1200m in 2:49.6, followed by Miller in the 400m (46.6), Isaiah Harris taking the 800m in 1:45.7, with Wynne bringing it home in the 1600m leg with a finishing time of 3:52.64.
There were two other teams running the world-record setting race, the DMR All-Stars (9:43.36) and the Wannabeast (10:06.75). The DMR All-Stars consisted of Sam Prakel, Sam Ellis, Kieran Lumb, and Will Laird. The Wannabeast crew was Mac Franks, Tristan Heinicke, David Timlin, and Clayton VanDyke.
The previous mark of 9:15.50 was set at the 2015 World Relays by a Team USA squad featuring Kyle Merber, Brycen Spratling, Brandon Johnson, and Ben Blankenship.
