In celebration of Meb Keflezighi’s 10 year anniversary of his 2014 Boston Marathon victory, we will be featuring a Celebration of Meb, highlighting and sharing an aspect of Meb’s life on and off the track and roads leading up to the 2024 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15. We are thankful to both Meb and Hawi (Meb’s brother and agent) for their partnership on this feature.

Across his professional career, Meb Keflezighi has took on 26 competitive marathons. He first raced 26.2 miles at the New York City Marathon in 2002, with his last coming at the same race in 2017. Between those two races were iconic victories, an Olympic medal, 20 top-10 finishes, and nine podiums. To relive each marathon from Meb’s perspective, you can purchase an autographed copy of 26 Marathons here.

In addition to his 26 competitive marathons, Meb has run two marathons for charity, for Team MR8 (The Martin Richard Foundation) and NYRR’s Team for Kids. At the upcoming Boston Marathon, Meb will once again run from Hopkinton to Copley Square, this time in support of the MEB Foundation.

Read below for a rundown of each of Meb’s competitive marathons.
