Nico Young, one of the top distance runners in the NCAA, has announced an NIL deal with adidas.
Fresh off his pair of national championships at NCAA Indoors, Young now joins his brothers, Stanford’s Lex and Leo, to ink a deal with a global shoe brand, who signed an NIL deal with On Running in late 2023. Nico wrote, “Grateful to be part of the Adidas family!”
Now in his senior year at Northern Arizona University, Nico has been on a tear since the start of 2024. At the BU Terrier Classic in January, he became the first collegian to break 13 minutes in the 5000m (12:57.17) and more recently in his debut at 10,000m ran an NCAA record time of 26:52.72 at The TEN.
While competing at Northern Arizona University, he had already been competing in an adidas kit as they are the sponsor of record for NAU athletics.
