University of Illinois standout and NCAA Long Jump Champion Sophia Beckmon has signed an NIL deal with adidas.
In a post to Instagram, Beckmon wrote, “Super excited to announce I’ve signed an NIL deal with adidas. I’ve been waiting to make a post like this. I’m proud to be given the opportunity to represent such an amazing brand, doing what I love the most. Time to work ///”
Sophia Beckmon is one of America’s rising stars in the long jump. The Oregon native won consecutive national U18 titles while in high school and later captured gold medals in both the long jump and 4×100-meter relay at the 2023 NACAC U23 Championships. Competing for the University of Illinois, she matched the North, Central American and Caribbean U20 record with a leap of 6.86 meters in 2024, then earned silver in the long jump at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima. In 2026, Beckmon added an NCAA Division I Indoor Championship title after winning the long jump with a mark of 6.84 meters.
