The Tokyo Marathon took place on March 6, and while there was much due fanfare for the spectacles put on by Eliud Kipchoge and Brigid Kosgei, the day was not without issue for many viewers. Most notably, those eager to watch the action unfold in the women’s race.
@WMMajors here’s an idea for you, anyone that calls themselves a world major marathon should & must guarantee equal coverage for both men & Women’s plus wheelchairs divisions, its very disrespectful that in 2022 Women’s coverage is an issue, this is doing injustice to the sport

The limited coverage of the women’s race was echoed throughout the event, which hit its pinnacle when the feed focused on an interview with men’s winner Kipchoge rather than the impending finish by Kosgei.
Now, instead of showing Brigid Kosgei winning the Tokyo Marathon (which hasn't quite happened yet), we're watching an interview with Elide Kipchoge. The production team is really determined not to show the women, because we don't even see them when they're the only ones left.
