Following all the great track and field content on YouTube can be quite an undertaking. We watch through as much as we can throughout the week to highlight what particularly stood out to us.
Should there be additional video content you believe should be on our regular rotation, please tell us about it here in the Wind Aided forum. Also, make sure to check out all the great channels posted to our channel glossary and maybe you will find something new to add to your feed!
Lee Troop
Lee & Jake Riley lay it all out there. Honest, raw sharing about Jake’s eating disorder journey that derailed all possibilities after his breakthrough Olympic Trials moment. Jake describes very relatable mind games that led him to a breakdown. Powerful stuff and lessons galore for other runners.
The Athlete Special
Spencer Brown attracts a solid following as he shares his running journey (with Allie Ostrander cameos). He boldly stated a 3:37 goal months ago, and in this episode he “gives in” to the reality that that time may be beyond reach this season. His new focus is on “more fun” via a focus on “winning races” versus a fixation on a time goal.
Beau Throws
This awesome addition to our lineup delivers on the throws! Beau mixes great footage with insightful analysis and storytelling, which reflects a genuine love of the throws…and count us in!
NCAA Hammer time!
Sweat Elite
Timely feature of Natosha Rodgers – fresh off her career-defining moment making the World Champs team in the 10k. She’s clearly fit, energized and hungry for more as she does a workout in prep for the USA Champs 5k. 8x800m…without a watch…based on feel…but her high school coach on hand to get the splits. She digs deep! Natosha’s personality shines through.
Rae drops quite a bit of wisdom in this “Why You Don’t Have A Contract?!?” talk. Performance, age, your event, business/budgets, agents/relationships – there are indeed many forces at work – some of which athletes have little control over. “Take your feelings out of it!” Does he overstate the agent influence over other variables? Yeah, maybe…but there’s some truth there.
