Pro runners are ALWAYS traveling: across the US to chase qualifying times and titles, through Europe to crush a personal best, or into Asia, South America, or the Middle East (just to name a few) to compete in championships. Despite all of this travel, pros actually rarely go on vacation. Usually, there are one or two brief periods during the year where training and racing schedules allow for actual vacation travel. That time period was August and early September for me this year, and I fully enjoyed it. I went on a few small trips to Bainbridge Island and Skykomish, WA, and a couple longer trips to Connecticut and Alaska. I didn’t document all of my travel, but I did make two videos about my Alaska trip, which fully encapsulate the absolutely immaculate vibe of this vacation. Also there is a beer mile… Enjoy!
