If you’ve never seen Arkansas freshman Jaydon Hibbert compete, then you’re missing out on watching greatness.
The talented triple-jumper, who is from Kingston, Jamaica, proved why he’s one of the best in the world in the event last weekend at the SEC Championships. He not only won the triple jump title with a mark of 58 feet, 7 ½ inches (17.87m), but in doing so, he broke the collegiate record in the event and the U20 World record in the event as well.
This mark puts him No. 13 on the all-time list in the triple jump.

“I don’t think there’s any [other] 18-year-old that does the stuff I do,” Hibbert said in an interview after his win. “Honestly, I’m so proud of myself.. I knew that was a big one because I was all the way at the back of the pit.”
