Some of the best athletes in track and field will line up in Monaco at the end of next week, making for what should be an exciting evening of track and field.

The men’s 400m hurdles will include some of the best athletes to ever compete in the event, as well as some of the top athletes in the world this season. World record holder Karsten Warholm headlines the field, and he’ll be faced with stiff and elite competition. Rai Benjamin, who ran the second fastest time in the world this year, along with Alison Dos Santos and CJ Allen will look to pull off the upset in the event.

The women’s 200m will feature some of the biggest stars in the sport. Gabby Thomas and Shericka Jackson headline the field, as the two runners hold the fastest times in the world (Thomas 21.60, Jackson 21.71). Both times were run at their respective national championships last weekend.

In the women’s 100m hurdles, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn and Keni Harrison will compete against each other once again in what should be an exciting matchup. Harrison was the former world record holder in the event, while Camacho-Quinn has the fastest time in the world this season in the event.

Every time Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone (400m) and Faith Kipyegon (mile) step on the track it’s a “must see” moment.

Other notable names that are set to compete in the Monaco DL include but are not limited to Ferdinand Omanyala (100m), Jaydon Hibbert (triple jump) and Dina Asher-Smith.

The meet will be held on July 21.

I’m a sports journalist based in Florida and I’ve covered a couple of different sports so far early on in my career, but I love the sport of track and field and the art of running. Everyone has a story and everyone has a story worth telling. My prayer is that the stories of the great athletes of this sport are told, and that the sport grows to new creative heights, so that the sport gets the respect it deserves.
