Brooke Andersen has proven time and time again that she’s a force to be reckoned with in the women’s hammer throw. Her performance last weekend left no doubt of her dominance in the event.
Andersen won the women’s hammer throw at the USATF Throws Festival in Tucson, Arizona last Saturday with a world leading throw and a new personal best mark of 80.17m in the event. That throw not only gave her the win and a new personal best, but it put her No. 3 on the all-time list behind USA’s DeAnna Price, who has the American record in the event and is No. 2 on the all-time list. Anita Wlodarczyk holds the world record in the event.

Andersen is looking to have similar success this season, just like she had last season, where she won the gold medal at the World Championships in Oregon.
