The Millrose Games got a whole lot faster with the latest edition to the men’s 60m field.
In a press release from the Armory, it was announced that Christian Coleman would highlight a 60 meter Clash of Champions at the event in February.
Coleman said on the Citius Mag Podcast, “Every time you step out there you want to go to that level of competitiveness and intensity, especially when you go up against world-class guys. That’s your opportunity to get out there and see where you fare with the best in the world.”
He is set to face off against an elite group of athletes that includes Fred Kerley, Andre DeGrasse and Ronnie Baker. Coleman comes into the race with the fastest time out of the group with his personal best time of 6.34, which is also the indoor 60m world record.
Coleman took home gold medals at the World Championships in Doha back in 2019 in the men’s 100m, as well as in the men’s 4x100m relay. Last season, he was a member of the men’s 4x100m relay team that took home the gold medal at the World Championships in Budapest.
The Millrose Games will take place on February 11 at the Armory in New York.
