The men’s 60m dash will be a sight to see at the Millrose Games in February, as some of the world’s best sprinters are set to face off in the event.

Christian Coleman, Noah Lyles, Ronnie Baker and Josephus Lyles make up the American group that will take part in the race. They’ll face off against Ackeem Blake of Jamaica and Miles Lewis of Puerto Rico.

Christian Coleman enters the race as the world record holder in the 60m with his electrifying time of 6.34 that he set back in 2018. In that same Indoor season, he won the Indoor World Championship in the event. The standout sprinter won the gold medal in the men’s 100m at the World Championships in Doha in 2019.

Arguably no athlete last season had a better year than Noah Lyles. He broke Michael Johnson’s American record in the 200m at the World Championships in Oregon last summer with his time of 19.31. Lyles ran a new personal best in the 60m last year in Birmingham with his time of 6.55.

Ronnie Baker has been one of the more consistent 100m sprinters in the United States over the years. He’s also made his mark in the 60m as well, having the third fastest time in the 60m in history with his time of 6.40. He’s also won a bronze medal in the Indoor World Championships in 2018.

The Millrose Games will take place at the Armory in New York on February 11.

I’m a sports journalist based in Florida and I’ve covered a couple of different sports so far early on in my career, but I love the sport of track and field and the art of running. Everyone has a story and everyone has a story worth telling. My prayer is that the stories of the great athletes of this sport are told, and that the sport grows to new creative heights, so that the sport gets the respect it deserves.
