Two of the best sprinters in collegiate track and field have moved on to the professional ranks.
Elija Godwin recently announced that he would be foregoing his remaining collegiate eligibility to sign a professional contract with Adidas, while Udodi Onwuzurike announced that he would also forego his remaining collegiate eligibility to turn pro. Onwuzurike has not announced who he will be signing with at this time.

He has the school record in the men’s 400m with his personal best time of 44.75 seconds in the event. Godwin was also a member of Team USA’s mixed relay team that took home the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
