The greatest jumper in Florida Gator and collegiate history made a big leap in the track and field world.

Long jump and triple jump sensation Jasmine Moore has decided to forgo her last season of eligibility and sign a professional contract with Puma. Moore made the announcement on Monday.

“So excited for this new chapter and looking forward to being a part of the puma family,” she said in her official announcement on Instagram.

Moore, who was originally a member of the Georgia Bulldogs track and field team prior to transferring to Florida, was must-see TV when she competed in the triple jump and the long jump. During her time at Florida, she won seven combined indoor and outdoor titles in the long jump and triple jump (four indoor titles, three outdoor titles.)

She excelled in the triple jump, where she holds the indoor American record in the event with her mark of 15.12m. She won two indoor titles in the event, and two outdoor titles in the event. She holds the collegiate record in the indoor and outdoor triple jump.

Moore was just as amazing in the long jump as well. She set the indoor long jump record in the event this season, and she took home two indoor titles and last year’s outdoor title in the event.

I’m a sports journalist based in Florida and I’ve covered a couple of different sports so far early on in my career, but I love the sport of track and field and the art of running. Everyone has a story and everyone has a story worth telling. My prayer is that the stories of the great athletes of this sport are told, and that the sport grows to new creative heights, so that the sport gets the respect it deserves.
