2024 is just around the corner, which means that the 2024 track and field season is drawing near. The action will start in January, when some of the world’s best athletes will start their indoor track and field season at different meets around the world.
Are you curious where these meets will take place? Well World Athletics has you covered. Recently, the governing body of athletics announced their Gold level meets for the 2024 World Indoor Tour.
Here’s the list of Gold level meets for the 2024 season:
- Astana Indoor Meet for Amin Tuyakov Prizes, Astana, Kazakhstan (Jan. 27)
- Czech Indoor Gala, Ostrava, Czech Republic (Jan. 30)
- New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, Boston, USA (Feb. 4)
- ORLEN Copernicus Cup, Torun, Poland (Feb. 6)
- Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais ‘Trophée EDF’, Lievin, France (Feb. 10)
- Millrose Games, New York, USA (Feb. 11)
- World Indoor Tour Gold Madrid 2024, Madrid, Spain (Feb. 23)
According to World Athletics, Gold level meets will award $7,000 in prize money per event, Silver level meets will award $4,000 per event, and Bronze level meets will award $2,500 per event.
The winner with the most points at the end of the indoor season will receive $10,000, as well as an automatic bid to the World Athletics Indoor Championships that is set to take place in Glasgow from March 1-3.
