Real Talk with Michael Norman

This week on Real Talk I had the best time attending The Prefontaine Classic, Diamond League meet held in Eugene, Oregon. Hayward Field is truly magical, especially with the new screen added on the second turn – IT IS HUGE. I had the pleasure of meeting with a phenomenal sprinter Michael Norman. He won the 400m in a Diamond League record of 43.60 seconds. This was just his second 400 of the season, sharing he was pissed he ran 44.6 as his 400m opener. He clearly got redemption.

Michael opened up his season at 200m running 19.8 at Mt. Sac, so I had to ask him what has changed this year. Norman really enjoys the weight room, “ Who wouldn’t want to be swole?” he said after telling us his favorite lift.
