Total donation amount has not been disclosed, but is the fourth major donation from Walton since giving an initial $1-million in 1996 to help build the stadium.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone named Kentucky Sports Figure of the Year for 2024
Just the third female winner in the award’s 44-year history, McLaughlin-Levrone earned the honor in, unsurprisingly for Sydney, dominant fashion. Voting was conducted by media members in Kentucky, and she earned over 50% more votes than the second place finisher. The Lexington Herald-Leader noted McLaughlin-Levrone’s world record setting performance and multiple gold medals in Paris as key marks to her award.
