This week on Real Talk, I had a stunning time meeting with World Bronze Medalist Trayvon “Bullet” Bromell. Born and raised in Florida, Bromell didn’t have many positive role models to look up to; it was mostly just him and his praying mother. Trayvon experienced significant adversity in our sport, however through it all, last season he claimed the Bronze Medal at World Championships and he is also the 2022 Diamond League 100m Champion.
Trayvon has been a photographer for 7 years, @shotsbytb is where you can find his creative work. Fashion is another thing Bromell spends his free time on, to be specific he loves to wear suits. One of his goals is to be on the cover of GQ magazine, I believe he will achieve this easily.
In this episode, Trayvon takes us through his career from the very beginning. Growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, he faced many adversities which helped him develop into the confident athlete he is today. Taking almost 4 years off due to a grade one Achilles tear, Trayvon is currently one of the top male sprinters in the WORLD and he is only going forward. I’m so hyped to see him obtain that “Triple Gold” goal he set for himself next season!
This conversation is so inspiring, and raw. I have to give a special shout out to Trayvon for being so open with us <3
