Ryan Hagan and Luke Schroeder set new NCAA Division III records over the weekend, with Hagan bettering his own 1500m record and Schroeder taking nearly 0.3 seconds off the prior 110m hurdle mark.
At the Duke Twilight, Ryan Hagan of SUNY Geneso ran 3:37.19 to improve upon the mark he set just weeks prior at the Bison Classic held at Bucknell. He took nearly one and a half seconds off the 3:38.67 record. He is the only DIII athlete to run sub-3:40 for the 1500m. Hagan has been on a hot streak this season, having also run a personal best of 13:55.68 in the 5000m at the Penn Relays.
Luke Schroeder firmly etched his name in the record books, running 13.32 for the 110mH at the WIAC Championships. The UW-La Crosse standout managed the impressive time twice in the championship, with the first being wind-aided in the prelims, followed by a wind-legal effort in the finals. The prior record of 13.60 was set in 2025 by eventual DIII National Champion Jamir Brown of Rowan University.

I saw Hagan’s record setting race at the Bucknell Classic. It was spectacular to witness. Amazed that he has already run even faster!
Sounds like he is just getting started
