Penn Relays has always been a place where Jamaican high schools have shined. The 2022 edition was clearly no exception. Enjoy this collection of stellar relay performances by Jamaican high school athletes. Wow.

Sweat Elite

Young Elly Henes has proven chops at sustaining national class paces in the 5k and 10k. Elly is clearly looking to move her fitness and racing ability to an even higher level. She’s doing this speed workout at 7000 feet in Flagstaff. Great workout clips and even better interview footage. Impressive workout. “It hurts so good”. Get to know Elly in this 24 minute piece. Also note Nikki Hiltz as her workout partner.

Looking for a ‘chill’ video featuring a nice long run by the ON crew? – Alicia Monson, Ollie Hoare, Morgan McDonald, etc – this is for you. Interspersed with fun chatter from the team and coach Dathan Ritzenhein.

Total Running Productions

After his performances last year as a 17 year old it felt almost inevitable that Erriyon Knighton would grow into being one of the greatest sprinters of all time. Well, early in this 2022 season, this 18 year old is wasting no time in fulfilling that promise. Here he lays down a 19.49 200m. Let’s put Erriyon at the center of our goal to hype this sport!

The high jump doesn’t get enough love and maybe part of why, at least re: the men, is that the world re odd has stood for so long. Javier Sotomayer of Cuba was one of those ‘once in a generation’ athletes and this video recaps with many clips his remarkable jumping abilities. I love the “imagine jumping over the ceiling in your room” comparison. Consider this video of tribute to his greatness.

Sean Donnelly | Grip & Rip Athletic Co

The hammer throw is super cool and no one delivers insights on the throwing technique like Sean. Here he analyzes a submitted throw video of an athlete who is learning the event. Love the “slow is smooth, smooth is fast” guidance. Sean’s videos always feel like they have some applicability to other motions in sport – swinging a baseball bat, tennis racket, golf club.

Athletics Village

Is there any Track & Field event that feels more “Olympic” than the javelin throw? Here’s a sweet video with fun commentary from the University Games in India. Neeraj Chopra’s gold medal in Tokyo has inspired a surge of interest in this event in India. Here Rishabh Mehara launches a 75+ meter throw. Great video footage of the throw, including animated commentary and celebration.

Run Free Training

Ryan Hall dives into another crazy self-challenge that calls on his truly unique combination of endurance and strength. He tries to carry 500 lbs for 5000 meters… at altitude. If you get inspiration from an extraordinary athlete trying an extraordinarily ridiculous physical task you’re in the right place.
