Can you believe that in less than a month, the top athletes in the world will square off at the World Championships in Eugene?
Time is flying by, and so are the athletes on the track this season. Devon Allen took the wings of an Eagle and flew across the hurdles in New York to run 12.84. The world record is 12.80 for what it’s worth.
Femke Bol is starting to find her groove in the 400h, running 52.61 at the Oslo Diamond League meet. She looks to challenge the American powerhouse duo of Sydney McLaughlin and Delilah Muhummad in the respective event.
Olympic gold medalist in the 200m Andre DeGrasse picked up a win in Oslo as well in the 100m with his time of 10.05, while Olympic silver medalist Keely Hodgkinson picked up an impressive win in the 800m, running a time of 1:57.71.
The stars and headliners of the sport are starting to find their rhythm as we get closer to Worlds. But are there athletes that are flying under-the-radar that we should keep an eye on?
All these things and more on this week’s episode of Track Talk.
