On Wednesday, World Athletics released the schedule for the 2023 World Indoor Tour, and there are a few additions to the circuit this season.
The first notable addition is the amount of meets that will be run. There will be 54 meets this Indoor season, which is an increase from the 33 meets that were run last season. The meets will expand over 19 countries.
There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze level meets that will take place this season. The event winners of the Gold level meets will receive $3,000, while the event winners of the Silver level meets will receive $4,000 and the event winners of the Bronze level meets will receive $2500.
Athletes who have accumulated the most points at the end of the tour will receive a $10,000 bonus and a wild card into the Indoor World Championships next year in Glasgow.
