Jefferson had a tremendous season as a member of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleer’s track and field team. She took home a national title in the women’s 60m at the NCAA Indoors and reached the women’s 100m final.
Her string of great performances didn’t stop after her collegiate season. She won the 2022 USATF Outdoor title in the women’s 100m. She followed that feat by making the finals in the aforementioned event at the World Championships just a few weeks later. She also was a part of the women’s 4×100 relay team that took home a gold medal.
I’m honored and excited to be named the Sun Belt Female Athlete of the Year 😌. Thank you to everyone who’s played a part in getting to where I am. I’m forever grateful for how blessed I am to walk a journey like this✨ Thank you to my Chanticleer family for ALWAYS having my back https://t.co/zrlGJvjJ09
