The star-studded fields in the women’s and men’s race includes Olympians, Boston Marathon champions and some of the best runners in the profession.

Kenya’s Vicoty Chepngeno headlines the women’s field, as well as Ethiopia’s Bosena Mulatie and Cynthia Jerotich Limo of Kenya.

Molly Seidel will make her return to the road racing stage, as she makes her B.A.A Half Marathon debut. She will be joined by a strong American group that includes Erika Kemp, Lauren Ames, Ann Centner, Jeralyn Poe and Molly Huddle.

“The B.A.A. Half Marathon is always a fun fall event, and I’m eager to race again through Boston with hopes of returning to the podium,” Huddle said in a press release.

In the men’s race, Kenya’s Josphat Tanui and Shadrack Kimining, as well as Ethiopia’s Lelisa Desisa headline a very talented field of runners.

Teshome Mekonen, formerly of Ethiopia, headlines the American group that includes Kevin Koski, Geoffrey Kipchumba, Chad Hall, Tim McGowan, Brendan Martin and Alejandro Martinez Ambrosio.

In the Wheelchair division, Daniel Romanchuk and Jenna Fesemyer headline the talented field for the men and women, respectively. American racers will make up both the men’s and women’s field.

The B.A.A. also announced that the B.A.AHalf Marathon course will be World Para Athletics certified, which will make the historic performances from Para athletes eligible for world or national records.

I’m a sports journalist based in Florida and I’ve covered a couple of different sports so far early on in my career, but I love the sport of track and field and the art of running. Everyone has a story and everyone has a story worth telling. My prayer is that the stories of the great athletes of this sport are told, and that the sport grows to new creative heights, so that the sport gets the respect it deserves.
