All eyes will be on the men’s 200m in London later on in July, as some of the best 200m runners in the world are set to face off against one another in the Diamond League matchup.

Noah Lyles, Erriyon Knighton, Fred Kerley and Zharnel Hughes highlight the loaded field in the men’s 200m race at the London Athletics meet that’s set to take place on July 23.

Lyles comes into the race with the fastest time in the world this season, running 19.67 in early June at the Racer’s Grand Prix in Jamaica. He’s also the two-time defending world champion in the event, and he holds the American record in the event with his 19.31 performance last year at the World Championships.

“The line-up for this race is world-class and I am really looking forward to putting on a show for the fans,” Lyles said in the press release. “We have all had a strong start to the season so this will be a close and very entertaining race.”

Knighton, who just won the USATF Outdoor Championship in 200m and secured a bronze medal at last year’s world championships comes in with the second fastest time in the world in the 200m, with his 19.72 championship winning time at USA’s on Sunday.

Kerley comes in as the reigning world champion in the men’s 100m, and he will look to improve upon his 19.86 season’s best in the 200m. Hughes has the world lead in the men’s 100m with his time of 9.84 that he set last month, and he also took home two big wins at the British Championships in the 100m/200m.

I’m a sports journalist based in Florida and I’ve covered a couple of different sports so far early on in my career, but I love the sport of track and field and the art of running. Everyone has a story and everyone has a story worth telling. My prayer is that the stories of the great athletes of this sport are told, and that the sport grows to new creative heights, so that the sport gets the respect it deserves.
