The track and field world is being set ablaze by incredible performances early on this season. Each division of track and field has seen incredible and even a few record breaking performances, and it’s only April.
A few notable performances include Kentucky’s Abby Steiner, who ran 10.92 at the Joe May Invitational in Baton Rouge. Her time is the fifth fastest time in NCAA history.
Fred Kerely continued his hot start at the USATF Golden Games at Mt. Sac this past weekend. His time of 19.80 in the men’s 200m is the fastest time in the world so far. At the same meet, Elaine Thompson-Herah recorded the fastest time in the world in the women’s 100m, running 10.89 in the preliminary rounds. She did not compete in the finals.
