Sean Don’s Travel Day Q&A

Share this article:

Ahead of this year’s Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, Kenya, knowing it was going to be long day of travel, I took to Instagram to take questions from my followers, about anything and everything Hammer. And man did the questions start coming in. After over 30 hours of travel, we really got into some great topics and advice, from generating speed to throwing in the rain. Scroll down to the gallery below to check out some of the best ones from the day.

As for the competition itself, I am proud to have come away with a 4th place finish in the event with a 75.27m throw, which was an awesome way to open my outdoor season. A few weeks later at the Tucson Elite Classic, I came back with a 77.50m throw and the World Championships standard.

I am excited for making the 2022 season my best one yet, and would love for you to follow along with me on YouTube and Instagram. In addition to posting content from my own training and competition, I also share technical analysis on how to get the most from your throws. If you are interested in hammer coaching, I have numerous plans to choose from on Grip & Rip Athletic Co.
