My New Technical Model for Hammer

Share this article:

In this video, I’m working through a big technical overhaul, which has been kind of like learning how to throw the hammer backward, simplifying my technical approach helping to improve my consistency.

This program begins with some warm-ups to build feeling and connection and walk through the adjustments I made for this training program, which is most noticeable if you observe the orbit of my throws. These new technical changes have made the throw feel a bit more effortless. The Finer details of this technical change are available on my Patreon.

I also discuss my lifting routine for this cycle, where I did some pre-season weight room testing. I don’t plan on doing any more testing this season, as the jump in intensity seemed to be a bit harsh on my body; It’s important to stay healthy as I keep my eyes on the start of the outdoor season.
